Latoka - Bourke, NSW
Situated eight kilometers south-west of Bourke on the Mitchell Highway, Latoka covers approximately 10,643 hectares. Cotton is the dominant crop grown on Latoka with additional crops including wheat, corn, sorghum and chickpeas successfully grown in recent years.
Two on-farm storage units, with a total capacity of approximately 10,640 megalitres, are supported by 15,600 megalitres of billabong storage, which takes advantage of overland flows from the Darling River. Latoka fronts the Darling River and holds a number of irrigation licenses totaling approximately 10,000 Ml. Average annual rainfall in the region is 348mm.
Whilst operated as one business unit, Latoka incorporates Longmeadows.
